Ahhh...Valentine's Day

I googled Menage a Troi the other day to verify spelling
and under Wikipedia this postcard was cited as an example.
Pretty Darn Funny. Every Man's dream, yet they really wouldn't know what to do with two of us.

Ahhh...L'amor.
An Ode to Lovers.
1920's vintage postcard.

Cuties I threw together from this and that...

Romance, will men ever "get" it?
Seriously, it doesn't take much...Really!!!
Honestly, I have a darling beau, who actually DOES get it.
I just designed the above graphics for all of the men who don't get it.

Beautiful Imagry

I snagged this photo off of the internet some time ago. An old theatre Poster...very Mucha-esque. Graphics long before the days of photography and digital manipulation. Like when I watch Snow White versus The Incredibles, it always boggles me the painstaking handwork of old time animation and today's work which is so aided by computers. Call me romantic or plain old fashioned, but I ADORE vintage illustration! So pretty, thought I'd share.

Party Bracelet

This bracelet is truly a party all by itself. This is the funkiest lil' old piece I picked up several
years ago in Seattle. It was made in Germany, probably 70's. Each tiny cube of ice is made of glass, 2 rows of rhinestones all the way around the bucket and one large on on the top of the Champagne bottle as well as a band around the bottle. Great gold plating, no tarnishing. Not a single missing rhinestone. Fun!

Okay, so I added these photos, but for the life of me cannot figure out HOW to get them on the right side of the blog. New to the Blogo-sphere...HELP?!?!?

Wandering Wednesday

For my 1st post I have decided to share with you a snippet of my day. Attempting to find reasonably priced treasures I have created Wandering Wednesdays...in which I scour the local thrift shops for little lovelies to work with. It is a safe spending day as it is an early day for my daughter and I have to be home by 1:30. Started locally and wound up about 25 miles away at Loma Linda Antiques who is sadly closing its doors. I scored the 80 year old aqua frame there for under $20. The FAB 70's clock ($3.50) will become an altered art base for one of my funky doll heads. The 1920's vintage religious print came in a totally falling apart frame which I repaired by the time this pic was taken...$1.99. Funky cowgirl boots and paper parasol for my daughter and aqua 60's necklace to disassemble. Old metal frame and OOps forgot the shoot the bombay shaped lucite handled Rose Fabric umbrella I scored too! Don't you just LOVE when it all falls into place and you can spend under $40? Already dreaming of the next Wandering Wednesday. Can you dig it?
